Day 1: Arrival Johannesburg – Pilanesberg

Road to the Pilanesberg National Park and check into your lodge along the park. Safari in 4×4 vehicles searching for the Big 5 in the bush (The Park boasts more than 7000 animals who roam freely in its 55000 hectares).

Days 2 and 3: Pilanesberg

2 days with 2 safaris per day, in a 4×4 (early morning and late afternoon) in the Pilanesberg Park, looking for Animals.

Day 4: Pilanesberg – Port Elizabeth – Plettenberg Bay

Return to Johannesburg and flight to Port Elizabeth (1h40). Road to Plettenberg Bay (2 1/2h), one of the most beautiful coastal towns on the Garden Route.

Day 5: Plettenberg Bay

Discover the area: visit the Monkeyland and Birds of Eden sanctuaries, where a vast range of monkeys and birds species live in their natural habitat, a delightful visit for everyone! Visit the Tsitsikamma forest, Tree top canopy tour, sea kayaking, Whale encounter (in season), skydiving, elephant back safari, quad biking, helicopter flip…

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay – Knysna – Sedgefield

Discover the tranquil little town of Knysna and its magnificent lagoon that communicates with the ocean. Eco-excursion by boat to the Featherbed Nature Reserve with magnificent views over the lagoon and town. Night in a family suite overlooking the Sedgefield lake.

Day 7: Sedgefield – Oudtshoorn – Sedgefield

Discover Oudtshoorn, capital of the Little Karoo, made famous for its ostrich farming (farm visit) and the Cango caves that reveal a fantastic underground world with thousands of stalactites.

Day 8 : Sedgefield – Stanford

Visit Mossel Bay, first South African port discovered by the Europeans in 1488. Follow the road to Stanford. Dinner and a night in a family suite in a Lodge nestled in a tree-lined valley.

Day 9 : Stanford

Enjoy various possible activities at the Lodge : cruise on the Stanford river, hiking or horseriding, or explore the Cape Agulhas area (the southernmost point in Africa).

Day 10: Stanford – Hermanus – Cape Town

Visit Hermanus, with the old harbour retracing the history of town, and the Fernkloof Nature Reserve and its indigenous flora. Road to Franschhoek, where the memory of the French Huguenot who settled in 1688 is kept. Visit of the Huguenot Museum and its memorial. Wine tasting (for the parents!). Late afternoon arrival at your apartment situated in Cape Town’s Waterfront.

Days 11/12/13 : Cape Town

3 days to discover the Cape area: Cape Peninsula and Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain (by cable car), City tour, Kirstenbosch botanical gardens… Departure to Europe on Day 13 in the late afternoon.
