PASSPORT & VISA

Passport (valid 6 months after return date) and a compulsory Visa.

On March 31, 2023, the Decree that exempts nationals of the countries indicated below from presenting an entry visa to Mozambique in the modalities of TOURISM & BUSINESS was published in the Bulletin of the Republic of Mozambique. Therefore, all citizens with ordinary passports from the countries indicated below may remain in Mozambique for 30 days from the first entry and during those 30 days they may enter and leave the country. Days before the 30-day period elapses, and if you wish to stay longer in Mozambique, you must request an extension of your stay authorisation from the migration services at the corresponding migration services.

The nationals exempted from presenting a visa are:

Canada, Swiss Confederation, United Arab Emirates, Israel, United States of America, Russian Federation, Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Belgium, Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of the, Netherlands, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Republic of Correa, Republic of Ivory Coast, Republic of Finland, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Singapore, Republic of Ghana, Republic of Senegal, Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, Italian Republic, People's Republic of China, Portuguese Republic, Ukraine.

They are obliged, however, to register on the web: https://www.evisa.gov.mz/ 48 hours in advance of boarding, the payment of a fee equivalent to approximately 10 euros (650 meticais) made at Arrival at the Mozambique border post.

The documentation that must be presented upon arrival in Mozambique includes the following:

  1. Passport or equivalent documentation, valid for at least 6 months.
  2. Departure tickets from Mozambican Territory.
  3. Proof of Accommodation Reservation in case of (tourism).
  4. Letter of Company in case of (Business).
