PACKAGE OVERVIEW

Best travelled during the winter months, this tour takes you to the northern areas of South Africa and the Tuli area of southern Botswana for unforgettable safaris. Bring along your binoculars and cameras and enjoy the wilderness (IDEAL FOR SMALLER GROUPS).

Day 1 – Johannesburg / Mpumalanga

The tour commences at OR Tambo Airport, with departure to Mpumalanga province towards Burgersfort. Arrive in the afternoon at your lodge situated in a 7000 hectares domain in the heart of the bush. 4×4 vehicle safari.

Day 2 – Mpumalanga / Panoramic View / Hazyview

Visit the Blyde River Canyon sites: God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Three Rondavels. Explore Pilgrim’s Rest, small gold mining town set back in 1873.

Day 3 – Hazyview / Kruger National Park

Explore the Kruger Park in 4×4 vehicle, kingdom of the “BIG FIVE”. One of the most important nature reserves in Africa with more than 100 species of mammals, reptiles and bird species roaming freely in untouched nature.

Day 4 – Kruger National Park / Elim

Spend half a day in the park in a bus. Travel to Phalaborwa then north to Tzaneen and Elim, famous for its tobacco and tea plantations. Discover the magnificent forests, waterfalls and cycad trees along the road.

Days 5 and 6 – Limpopo / Mashatu Private Reserve (Botswana)

Road to Messina, where the main road is lined with 100-year old Baobab trees.
At “Pont Drift” border post, guests are met by their ranger from Mashatu Private game reserve in an unforgettable “Out of Africa” safari experience.

The Tuli Block, a mix of bush, savanna, rainforests, marshes and plains awaits. Personalized service. Overnight at MASHATU TENTED CAMP or LODGE.

Day 7 – Waterberg

Enjoy a last morning safari and return to South Africa towards Naboomspruit. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 8 – Waterberg / Pretoria / Johannesburg / Departure

Route to Pretoria. Farewell lunch in town and city tour, Voortrekker monument, Union buildings. Transfer to Johannesburg airport for your flight to Europe.
